Web crawling systems and trackers are often less successful at tracking an internet user having either service turned on an iPhone. Similarities between Apple’s Private Relay and VPN The reason behind that is a small list of similarities but a larger set of differences between what a conventional VPN can do and what Apple’s new Private Relay will offer to iOS 15-powered iPhones. Apple’s Private Relay is a VPN of sorts, but it would be an overstatement to call it a true VPN. Still, they are majorly efficient at bypassing blockades - the biggest reason why VPNs are popular. They are not always successful because some technology-driven organisations have managed to invent highly advanced firewalls that can block even VPNs.
